The aim of this workshop
is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to
enable them to take accurate blood pressure measurement.
Participants will also develop an understanding of
contributing factors to the onset of high blood pressure.
Course Includes
Discussion around the
need for blood pressure monitoring
Definition of the
common terminology associated with blood pressure
monitoring
Identification of the
factors affecting blood pressure recordings
Correctly performing
both an automatic and manual recording of blood pressure
Discussion of the need
to accurately record blood pressure readings and the
need to identify abnormalities to appropriately trained
staff.

to 4:30pm and includes lunch and refreshments
