In 1991,
whilst employed by Bassetlaw NHS Trust, they were given the
responsibility of establishing Bassetlaw Handling and
Movement Consultancy. Due to a large demand on their time
from external agencies they were encouraged by the Trust to
establish an independent company. They therefore
established Handling and Movement Consultancy (HMC) as an
independent company in 1997. HMC gradually expanded and in
January 2004 moved into the field of ergonomics, changing
its name to HME Limited, and relocated to purpose built training rooms and offices.
We are used to
working in close partnership with our clients and have
established a number of successful working
relationships with Local Authorities. Attendance at formal
regular review meetings is included in our costs and we also
encourage more regular, informal communication e.g. through
the use of email and training diaries. We expect that
trainers follow up issues immediately where necessary
through personal contact.
HME recognises
the need for high standards in manual handling training and
indeed in all other aspects of our business and we
continually strive to ensure that these are met. We
recognise the importance of confidentiality and secure
record keeping and meet the requirements of the Data
Protection Act 1998. |
